Our Members

Member States are countries that have ratified the OIML Convention and that have officially sent the accession instrument to the French Government. Member States are morally obliged to implement as far as possible the decisions of the International Conference on Legal Metrology and in particular
Member States may actively participate in the OIML Certification System (OIML-CS) by proposing OIML Issuing Authorities (IAs). Once approved by the OIML-CS MC the OIML IAs are authorized to issue OIML Certificates which are registered and published by the BIML.
Member States may also participate in the OIML-CS by designating Utilizers in their country. Utilizers sign a Declaration stating that they will accept and utilize OIML Certificates and/or OIML type evaluation reports, issued by OIML IAs, as the basis for issuing national or regional type approvals.
